A Stunningly Beautiful Laurel Hall, Indianapolis Wedding Day!
We loved filming for Emily and Benjamin on their Laurel Hall wedding day in Indianapolis, IN! They are such a great couple and very photogenic together! Their day began at the families church in St. Simon Catholic Church in Indianapolis, IN. We enjoyed filming their ceremony events and then transitioned to their reception venue Laurel Hall. Here we did all the wedding party photos and video followed by reception events. One special detail we loved was Benjamin’s bowtie. It had been worn on the wedding day and passed down from three generations of Quattrone men in his family. Legend has it the bowtie was around 80 years old!
All in all the day was fabulous. We shared a wonderful time with the vendors, friends and families who were all there to celebrate this amazing couple. Laurell Hall is and has been one of our favorite wedding venues over the years. I consider it a great space for a bride looking for an elegant, classic, private event space with historic charm. It’s within a gated community so there’s the extra level of privilege and security as well. If you’re wedding isn’t over 150 guests I’d certainly recommend!

Unforgettable Wedding Weekend at the University of Notre Dame
The couple hosted an original and beautiful wedding weekend at the University of Notre Dame in May. They got the weekend kicked off at with a Rehearsal Dinner at Foley’s. Foley’s is a club space on the 4th floor of O’Neill Hall, attached on the south side to Notre Dame Stadium. They hosted their wedding the following day at The Basilica of the Sacred Heart. The reception was hosted later that evening at Dahnke Family Ballroom. Dahnke Family Ballroom is located on campus on the 7th and 8th floor of the Duncan Student Center, attached to Notre Dame Stadium on its west side. It’s the larger of the two ballrooms in the Notre Dame stadium and it’s good they chose Dahnke because it was a big group!
Meg and Jonathan had a special request of us for their wedding film and that is to use Motown inspired music throughout. They both enjoy vintage, soul music and music was to directly influence the style of their wedding day. They even booked a Motown music band from Detroit, MI The Jerry Ross Band to play their reception! When considering their style choice I knew I needed to make the video match the music aesthetic. To achieve this I used a handheld approach to filming their day. This doesn’t mean I always held the camera only in my hands but rather I went with a more intimate close-up approach. I also used documentary style filmmaking to record the things that were said and done when camera’s normally aren’t rolling. These methods paired with film effects grain and scratches produced a vintage film look we’re confidant the couple will love.
Our best to the newlyweds! May they live happily ever after. Looking for your Notre Dame wedding videographer? Contact us today!
Classic Notre Dame Couple | Married at The Basilica and Downes Club!
Character and charisma were a couple themes of Jenna and Ben’s classic Notre Dame wedding day! When we arrived on campus it was crispy cold but beautiful as always. It would seem we had an extra pep in our step, you might have thought it was due to the cold but really it was excitement for the day’s events. We’d been hearing for weeks rumors that this was going to be an exceptional, over the top wedding event for Jenna and Ben. Family, friends and their wedding team were all brimming with anticipation for these two.
Jenna and Ben hosted a beautiful full ceremony at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart then a large and energetic crowd at their stadium reception in Downes Club. Beautiful centerpieces, table scapes, a flower chandelier and more flowers! It was truly a sight to see and fully exceeded all our expectations. The real sight to see though was this couple and all their family and friends who came to celebrate them. Congrats to them!

Ethereal Christmas Wedding at Notre Dame University!
Sarah and Connor had a lovely Christmas Notre Dame wedding on a beautiful day in December. They have a sweet ND love story. Sarah was attending Holy Cross College and Connor was at Notre Dame. After some convincing from Connor they began dating in their junior year. Connor later moved to Chicago and Sarah stayed in South Bend. But after doing long distance for some time Connor proposed to Sarah at the Basilica while visiting campus on what seemed like a very typical Friday date night. And so it was after many years of friendship and dating they tied the knot back where it all began at The Basilica at The University of Notre Dame.
We were happy to be there for their big day. Filming began with getting ready on campus at The Morris Inn. This is where Connor actually ran into old Saint Nick while we were taking pictures. There’s a neat video scene of Connor pointing to the initials SC on Santa’s belt because they match the couple’s first name initials! Notre Dame is always festive around the Christmas Holiday and this day was no exception. After everyone was ready and looking sharp we continued to the Basilica of the Sacred Heart where we recorded the mass and vows. After the formalities the couple and their wedding party cut loose with a fantastic chilly photo session in and around campus. Of course Connor having been a football player at Notre Dame took their wedding party out on the football field. We had an awesome session out on the field. Filming the wedding party running plays and generally having the best time. The day culminated with incredible speeches and dances at the beautiful Downes Club in Corbett Family Hall on the 7th floor of the stadium.
Incredible Memories From This Indianapolis Wedding Day!
We loved filming for Ryan and Parissa on their epic Indianapolis wedding day! It was a perfect day for their Arts Garden and Conrad Hotel wedding. The smell of fall in the air, trees turning color, plus the hustle and bustle of the city it was all energizing. But even more importantly the weather like the couple was beautiful!
If you’re a bride or groom thinking about hosting your wedding date in the fall go for it! Fall is definitely one of the most beautiful times of the year to be married. For one it won’t be sweltering hot, and two fall weather is just romantic by nature. Three, you get amazing results in photo and video when there’s a little color in the trees. As you’ll see in this video there wasn’t much color but just a little goes a long ways when professionally filmed. The other thing about fall is the sun is lower in the sky. This gives a softer look for your photos and video. Overhead light is brighter, more contrasting and has to be worked around. This is why you always see wedding videographers and photographers scrambling to find shade on a wedding day. It’s not just to stay cool!
We began the day at The Conrad Hotel. It was here where we captured video of the couple getting ready for the day. Our philosophy is to never waste an opportunity. This means we don’t just arrive at a location and wait for the big or formal events to start. We capture all the nuances of the wedding day to best tell the story. For Ryan and Parissa this meant capturing their getting ready, reading letters, wedding details, jewelry, first looks, and a wedding party video session on Monument circle!
It seemed to be non stop activities for these two all day. From filming the hair and makeup to Ryan suiting up and reading his letter. Parissa and her bridesmaids had a blast getting dressed, and enjoying their time together. Parissa and her father where holding back tears during their first meeting. Their traditional Eastern ceremony was very beautiful. The joy was palpable and their story grew richer with every authentic moment. These are the moments that make the wedding day story so personal.
After the Arts Garden ceremony it was a short hop over to the Conrad Hotel banquet hall for their cocktail hour and reception. The evening was full of beautiful toasts and dances. Many thanks to the Wedding planning team Plum and Poppy for introducing the couple to us. And thanks to Parissa and Ryan for inviting us to play a role in their wedding. Our best to the beautiful couple!

Wedding Day at The Basilica of the Sacred Heart and St. Joe Farm
David and Lizzy’s wedding at The Basilica and St. Joe Farm was in just a few words fun, beautiful, and heartwarming. We had a fun filled morning together with the couple getting ready and reading letters. Then we all knocked out some wedding party formals with Cat Alkire Photography (ladies with Lizzie and gentlemen with David) on campus with before Lizzy would see David for the first time at the Basilica.
The vibe of the wedding party was next level! They were all excited to be there and ready to show their love and support for David and Lizzie. I don’t think I’ve had a more engaged, hype team wedding party this year. And that says a lot about this couple. Not only does their friend group love them but it means they’re excited about their new union.
All in all, a beautiful wedding day with huge love and support for the couple. What began with getting ready and a captivating ceremony at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at Notre Dame. Was wrapped up with a lively reception celebration at St. Joseph’s Farm in Granger. Our best to the new Mr. & Mrs. Connelly!
