Ralph & Brittany’s beautiful wedding. Filmed on the campus of Notre Dame at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart and Dahnke Ballroom in the stadium. The day was a beautiful event celebrating the wonderful joining of the Huake-Dymm families. Thanks Jacob and Mary Kate for filming the day for us. Congrats to the newlyweds!
When I first spoke with Steve he laid out his vision for their wedding very articulately. It was to be a great wedding celebration of his and Meredith’s love and life together so far and their future. Celebration being a key word for them. I thought this made a lot of sense. With a wedding we tend to look toward the future naturally as it’s a beginning but we should remember we’re also celebrating the past. People that helped raise us, friends and experiences that helped shape us. Even the time, memories and accomplishments made together as a couple. Some couples have more experience together than others based on the length of their engagement and courtship. I’ve filmed for couples who met literally a few months before the day and those who have been dating for 9 years or more!

Meredith and Steve are a couple who had a rich history together already. They’ve been dating several years, have a son together and naturally wanted to make him a big part of their day. What was originally planned to be a big city wedding in Chicago because of stifling covid restrictions became a wedding in the countryside of Plymouth, IN at Swan Lake Resort. And it was great. Swan Lake is a premiere wedding resort location. We’ve enjoyed filming there several times before and actually filmed our first ever wedding film there as a company. The resort is located on a golf course, has lodging on site including some rustic log cabins as well as traditional hotel rooms. The couple took advantage of both with Steve staying in the hotel and Meredith in a cabin. Steve and Meredith chose to have their ceremony in a nearby church and hosted the reception at Swan Lake.
It was a beautiful event full of incredible speeches and moments. Meredith and Steve were genuinely wonderful to work with throughout the process. They were very intentional and made everyone feel welcome and appreciated on the day. Our best to them and their family. May they make many new memories and celebrate many more life milestones together. Thanks Jacob and Mary Kate for filming the day!

Katie and Tony had a beautiful August wedding surrounded by friends and family at The Bluffs at Conner Prairie.
This couple had a blast and were awesome to film with! I wasn’t personally available for their date but fortunately it worked to have our team film for them and I was able to do the editing. Katie later gave a special shout out to our videographer Zarah for being the hype girl she didn’t know she needed. Although a little hype is fun for pictures and video I don’t think they really needed it much. Just being themselves and letting their personalities shine through was more than enough. Their genuineness and affection for one another and their guests came through beautifully.
Katie and Tony hosted their wedding at St. Alphonsus Church in Zionsville and the reception at The Bluffs at Conner Prairie. If you haven’t heard of it the Bluffs is a newish venue. It’s the outcome of a partnership between Ritz Charles and Conner Prairie to renovate the historic Eli Lilly Chinese house plus build a new venue in the woods – the Bluffs making both available for special events. It’s interesting that they didn’t create a separate social media pages for the venues. I think they would benefit from doing that because they’re really cool spots. If you’re looking for more pictures of the space social media for the Bluffs is currently under @ritzcharles for Instagram & Facebook. Thanks to our team Zarah & Sam for filming!

Haley’s brother said in his speech it was always his sister’s dream growing up to have tons of that wedding sparkle! I think it’s safe to say Haley and Gary had plenty of sparkle in their wedding day. But sparkle isn’t just a fun way to dress or decorate, it’s an attitude. It’s an outlook on life. Gary and Haley are a beautiful couple and together they have a wonderful positive energy. Seriously try and watch their film without a smile!
The day began at The Doubletree in South Bend. We began filming the ladies and guys prepping. After this Gary and Haley exchanged notes and gifts to one another. They did a beautiful job expressing themselves and reading on camera. I always encourage our couples to read a note aloud if they write one to make their film more personal. So after all the prep of hair, makeup and dress. Haley gave her bridesmaids and father a first look at her in the dress. She also shared a gift of a fine wedding dress drawing with her mother in a very special moments.
Haley and Gary chose to host their ceremony at the Notre Dame Basilica. This was fitting as they met and began dating during their time at Notre Dame University. Their story came full circle 7 years later with their wedding on campus. It was a lovely event and came just days after the mask restrictions were lifted on guests indoors and outside so cheers to that!
The reception was at Palais Royale also in South Bend. The design and decor by Merry Me Events was top notch. Just check out all lovely in the table settings! I think Haley did her younger self proud and it was beautiful and sparkling event indeed. Thanks Zarah and Sam for helping to film the day.
Our best to the newlyweds! May you continue to sparkle together in the light of one another and of heaven. Check out their wedding film!
