Julie and Ryan’s Sycamore at Mallow Run wedding was a beautiful way to start out the new year! It was great to start 2021 with a beautiful clear, crisp and sunny January day for them. Their reception event had to be downsized from 250 all the way down to 25! But no worry, they planned accordingly and made it awesome. They used an intimate fireside space in the venue to host the dinner and had all the guests sit around a single large table. Plus the bar was just a few steps from the dining room!
All this to say a micro wedding doesn’t have to feel small when it’s planned right. Even in a huge venue like the Sycamore, it’s all about adjusting and matching the space in the venue to fit the group. And when there’s a small group the staff can provide a better experience for those guests. That said this was a fun group, excited for the couple and the energy level was high!
This was our second time working with the family of the bride. The first was with Josh and Kelly Julie’s older sister and brother in law. It was special to be invited back to spend the day with this wonderful group again and get to know Ryan’s family as well.
THE TRAILER film!
To be continued…
Ryan and Julie are planning to host another large Sycamore at Mallow run wedding reception in January 2022. We have a full length feature film for them coming soon but it will have to wait till next January to premiere it publicly. Cheers to the new Mr. & Mrs!!
Thanks for watching Lauren and Steven’s Morris Park Country Club wedding! What a fun packed wedding day. It was a pleasure to be the videographers for this beautiful couple and to be guests at the newly remodeled Morris Park Country Club in South Bend, Indiana. We’ve filmed at Morris Park several times over the years (check out one of our favs here). We always love coming back to work with Elena and her team plus this wedding was an added bonus. It was one of the first time anyone had the privilege to film a wedding at the newly remodeled ballroom and I believe only the second wedding hosted since the updates. I always love being the first ones:) It was so fresh I think some of the paint was still drying and let me tell you it is fab!
The day started at Lauren’s parents home where we had a blast hanging with the ladies filming Lauren’s details plus hair & makeup. I love how chill Lauren was. She wasn’t worried about all the details. She said and I quote “I’m just doing my bride thing today” and do her bride thing she did. From the makeup to the vows and dancing she rocked it.
Sometimes we can forget the bride has a lot of pressure on her during the day. How to look, how to act, making sure to include everyone and not miss any details. The groom has a lot of pressure too. There’s ceremony elements such as procession, vows, kiss, and recession that need to go smoothly. Friends and family to meet and impress. Not to mention all the emotional buildup that comes to fruition in a wedding day. Believe me no groom wants to sob uncontrollably while saying his wedding vows but it’s often appreciated by the bride when it happens:) All this to say give respect to the bride & groom!! Their role is the most important and the most difficult. So yes, props to you Lauren and Steven you did your bride and groom thing, you had a fun wedding day and enjoyed every minute!
What a lovely Riverside Terrace wedding for Eliza and Frank! I had filmed at the venue many events in our earlier years doing business but hadn’t for so long 8 years to be precise. I was beginning to wonder if we would get the chance again someday? So I was pumped when Eliza told me this was their venue and that it was updated!
We started the day at Eliza’s grandparents home in Michigan on their 1000 acre ranch where Eliza recalled spending a lot of her time as a child. It was not only a great place to get ready but provided beautiful setting for their photos and video. After getting all ready they had a lot of fun first looks. First with the girls seeing Eliza. Followed soon by Eliza seeing her dad and finishing strong with an emotional first look between Eliza and Frank. There were many beautiful moments but it was hard to top the couples heartfelt notes to one another. Their ceremony and reception venue the beautifully rennovated Riverside Terrace located along the Elkhart River in Mishawaka, Indiana. The space was nicely arranged and provided a lovely setting for their event. Check out this Short Film of their wedding day!
Check out this wedding day bliss along the canal walk at Indiana State Museum! What amazing chemistry Brittany and Phil shared. The day started with the hustle and bustle of ladies getting ready and culminated with a sweet first look between Britney and her dad. This was soon followed by a fun first look with Brittany and her bridesmaids. We got some BA photos with the ladies at Memorial Park downtown and hustled up to get to the ceremony at The Indiana Statehouse. We were just in time to film guests arriving and the amazing setup there. After the ceremony guest made their way to the the Indiana State Museum for the reception beginning with cocktails out on the canal walk. It’s always so neat to be part of the culture of Indianapolis and film all activity outside on the canal. People doing activity in the background makes a great ambiance for drinks and conversation! Check out a few other amazing events we’ve filmed along the canal walk! All in all the reception was a huge success with amazing speeches, great dances and food. What a beautiful day and Wedding to celebrate Britney and Phil!
