Thanks for watching Lauren and Steven’s Wedding Day Film. It was a pleasure to be the wedding videographers for this beautiful couple and their family. Lauren and Steven hosted their wedding ceremony at St. Pius X catholic church in Granger, Indiana with their reception event following at Morris Park Country Club in South Bend, Indiana.
The day started at Lauren’s parents home where we had a blast hanging with the ladies filming Lauren’s wedding details plus hair & makeup. I love how chill Lauren was. She wasn’t worried about all the details. She said and I quote “I’m just doing my bride thing today”.
Sometimes we can forget the bride has a lot of pressure on her during the day. How to look, how to act, making sure to include everyone and not miss any details. The groom has a lot of pressure too. There’s ceremony elements such as procession, vows, kiss, and recession that need to go smoothly. Friends and family to meet and impress. Not to mention all the emotional buildup that comes to fruition in a wedding day. Believe me no groom wants to sob uncontrollably while saying his wedding vows but it’s often appreciated by the bride when it happens:) All this to say give respect to the bride & groom!! Their role is the most important and the most difficult. So yes, props to you Lauren and Steven you did your bride and groom thing, you did a great job and it was cool!
We started the day with Eliza and Frank at Eliza’s grandparents home in Michigan on their 1000 acre ranch where Eliza recalled spending a lot of her time as a child. It was not only a great place to get ready but provided beautiful setting for their photos and video. After getting all ready they had a lot of fun first looks. First with the girls seeing Eliza followed by Eliza seeing her dad and fishing with a sweet encounter between Eliza and Frank. There were many beautiful moments but it was hard to top the couples heartfelt notes to one another. The venue Riverside Terrace was nicely arranged and provided a lovely setting for their event. Check out this Short Film!
We really enjoyed seeing the wedding day unfold for Britney and Phil! What amazing chemistry they share. The day started with the hustle and bustle of ladies getting ready and culminated with a sweet first look between Britney and her dad. Then a fun first look with her bridesmaids! We enjoyed doing some photos with the ladies at Military Park downtown and hustled up to get to the ceremony at The Indiana Statehouse in time to film guests arriving and the amazing setup there. After the ceremony guest made their way to the the Indiana State Museum for the reception beginning with cocktails out on the canal walk. It’s always so neat to be part of and film all activity on the canal. People biking, boating, running or walking plus having drinks and celebrating! All in all the reception was a huge success with amazing speeches, great dances and food of course. What a beautiful day and Wedding to celebrate Britney and Phil!

There are often striking similarities between schedules and locations during our wedding season. This year we had two couples in back to back weekends get married at St. Louis De Montfort Church in Fishers, IN. I think it’s God’s way of telling us he has a plan!
The first couple we just posted about, Nora and Dan. The next was Molly and Zach! Molly and Zach are a joy to be around and had a truly amazing wedding day. The day started with some rain showers as we were filming the ladies getting ready. Molly said before meeting Zach she would’ve been totally freaking out about it but so much of her attitude toward life has changed since knowing Zach. His easygoing approach helps her not worry too much about the details! Not to mention she and Zach are serious golfers and a golfer never lets a little rain stop them! So they had fun and enjoyed every minute of the day.
I loved filming at Daniel’s Vineyard for the second time in as many years. It was perfect with it’s covered patios for guests to be indoors and venture outside to overlook the vineyards. The grand ballroom was nicely decked out and perfect for their large group.
