What a lovely day in South Bend for Molly and Jake’s Wedding! We were absolutely stunned by the beauty of this summer wedding at St. Joseph Catholic Church and The Gillespie Center, on the campus of St. Mary’s College in South Bend, Ind. Having a beautiful wedding day is a major win, but Molly & Jake as the bride and groom made the day amazing by just being themselves and showcasing their love for one another! They are a beautiful match as you can tell and as we heard in speeches by their family and friends. The groom’s reaction says it all as he was so excited to see Molly for the first time that day during their first look.
During the pandemic there were some serious questions about how many guests would even be able to attend the wedding. When asked if they wanted to cancel and move the wedding date Molly and Jake both said a resounding NO!! We’re very grateful to have recorded this amazing wedding for two very persistent and courageous people, along with their amazing friends and family. Congratulations, Molly and Jake! We are so happy for you, and as the father of the groom said, “your persistence paid off.”

Rosemary and Greg hosted their fairytale wedding day at the University of Notre Dame where they both attended school. The day began with Rosemary getting ready fine tuning all the details hair, make up etc. Rosemary and her ladies had an awesome chill attitude and enjoyed all the moments and laughs with the cameras rolling. After Rosemary’s first look with her dad we scuttled over to the Basilica to get some coverage of the main man (and groom) Greg and prep for the ceremony. There wasn’t much time to get shots in the Basilica due to the current restrictions in place but we work at the Basilica often and have an efficient routine to get ready there so we did our best and got great looks with Greg! As Greg and Rosemary met one another singing in the choir at ND they wanted to make a nod to that by singing a song on campus with other member of their wedding party and friends who were also in choir. They sang at the Grotto on campus and we were right there to record it all. It was a beautiful moment and a perfect, emotive score to begin their film with. So kudos to the couple for trying something a bit different on their wedding day and for doing a beautiful job with it!! Check out their short film.

Wow, what a fun group these guys were! Chrissy, Rick and their wedding party had no trouble goofing around and posing for us and Sarah Sage Photo as you’ll see in the video. Rick and his groomsmen even made a human pyramid we captured on film which is something I’ve never witnessed in my career as a videographer. The pyramid stood strong as will Chrissy and Rick’s marriage!
The wedding ceremony was at the beautiful St. Monica Catholic church and the reception at the newly renovated and amazing Morris Park Country Club in South Bend, Indiana. In fact Chrissy and Rick were the first couple to host a reception at Morris Park since it’s remodel so they got to do their turns on a brand new dance floor and we got a first look at all the new updates. And of course Elena and team did a great job serving a delicious dinner and hosting us all.
Our best to Chrissy & Rick in as their priest put it “their divine road trip” as husband and wife!
I got a call from a concerned mother not long ago telling me about how her son and daughter-in law’s wedding day plans had changed last minute due to the videographer having health concerns and and how they now needed a videographer late notice. As it turned out I was available and was delighted to secure the date! So we began to make plans. Between talking with Jasmine’s mother and with Jasmine and James as they were in the airport on their way here we got the details sorted out and all was set! Come to find out the videographer we were replacing was then available to make it for shooting photos so they had double the talent.
It didn’t take long to realize that Jasmine and James are such a great down to earth thoughtful couple. Their wedding ceremony at Nappanee Missionary Church was beautiful with special songs, a sand ceremony, heartfelt vows and a moving message by their minister who joined them from LA to preside over the wedding. They made time for the things that were important to them including friends and family and they made certain to take the time to look around and take it all in throughout the day. Making sure not to let the moments pass by unnoticed. Well enough blogging now check out the film here!
