An unforgettable Notre Dame Wedding Day | Marisa & Matt
Marisa and Matt said their vows at The Basilica of Notre Dame on an unforgettable Notre Dame wedding day in October. They met and fell in love during their undergrad at Notre Dame so it’s only appropriate that they married there too. The day began for us much like many wedding days do. Taking video of the couple as they prepared at their hotel. There was one small difference. All over campus wherever you went there were Secret Service agents dressed in black with earpieces. Come to find out this was part of President Biden’s security detail. He was coming to Notre Dame that day for a wedding just after Marisa and Matt’s in the Basilica.
Although it sounds cool, this was a point of frustration for many. Frustration because with officers in the background, helicopters overhead, and curious onlookers just hanging out it took some effort to get the shots we wanted. But we did get amazing footage of the wedding and couple!
Frustrations aside I think all the excitement added to the day. As the presidential motorcade drove away the president and First Lady waved to Marisa and Matt from their car! It made for unforgettable memories for the couple, guests and all us involved. I mean how many couples can say something like that happened during their wedding day?
The reception was hosted at the Palais Royale with cocktails in the Morris Theatre lobby. The ballroom was beautifully decorated with gold, green and white. After heartfelt words from loved ones it was time for possibly the most memorable event of the day, Marisa and Matt’s first dance! They are both incredible dancers and lit up the floor with a routine and moves like we’ve not seen before. Check out the sights and sounds from their day!
Baby Just Say Yes! A Picture Perfect Wedding at Notre Dame
We had a blast filming for Brian and Kelly on their picture perfect wedding day at Notre Dame. The day began with Brian and his groomsmen getting prepped and dressed for success at the Morris Inn on campus. We didn’t have to go far to find Kelly and her gals also getting ready at the Morris. There was no shortage of champagne toasts and laughs for this crew. Kelly’s mom and dad, Dan and Colleen were a big part of the morning for her. Kelly’s mom helped her stay calm and get dressed while her dad kept the champagne flowing (from a giant 3L bottle) and the party going!
There was an amazing energy in the room that all began with Kelly and spilled over. She was just so happy and full of joy for the day! This energy led into a raw karaoke version of “Love Story” by Taylor Swift which I was lucky to capture and include in the short film. As an opportunistic filmmaker I love unique wedding day moments. They’re wonderful and should be celebrated!
The whole day was full of beautiful happy moments. From the first look outside in the snow through the ceremony, photos on a very cold campus and ending with an epic dance party at their reception at Morris Inn. Our very best to the new couple. I hope you enjoy reliving all the beautiful, happy moments from your picture perfect wedding day for many years to come!!

Wedding Day at The Brick in South Bend | Tyler and Kelly
Kelly contacted me early on about her August wedding. The wedding was to be at her family church St. Anthony De Padua and at The Brick in South Bend, IN. I was excited to hear she had been looking forward to having me film her wedding since recording her sister’s wedding video several years ago! It’s not very often we get to shoot video for multiple weddings from within the same family but this has been the case with the Powell family from Andy and Katie to Kelly and Tyler! I love being invited back to film as it’s great to see familiar faces and it’s a true sign of appreciation.
Kelly and Tyler met through Kelly’s aunt Martha. They had a interesting and beautiful first weekend together so eloquently spelled out by Kelly’s sisters in their speech. I would try to describe the events but you will just have to hear it!
The Brick is one of our favorite venues in South Bend, Indiana. It’s appropriately named as it’s constructed of brick inside and out! It has a warm inviting feel and hosts large and medium scale events and it fit their day very well. Kelly and Tyler, it was a privilege to film the beauty of your wedding day and see you let loose and enjoy yourselves as the day unfolded. The two of you are an incredible couple. Thank you for having us tell the story of your day. Congratulations!

Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty
The bible often likens those in sin and without redemption to being “prisoners” for example (Galatians 3:23) and those who are saved and presented with the revelation of Christ as “liberated”. (2 Corinthians 3:17)
I don’t know why anyone would purposely choose imprisonment over liberation. Of course there’s many reasons people reject the truth but ultimately It’s blinding by the enemy to the light of the gospel that keeps people imprisoned. (2 Corinthians 4:4)
It’s not enough to dutifully plod through the scriptures reading and analyzing and theorizing about God. We need the Holy Spirit to show us the truths that are in the bible through divine revelation and supernatural anointing. God through the spirit breaths on his word making it alive for us. As Paul points out there are those who read the Bible and don’t get it. (2 Corinthians 3:14-15) But their minds were blinded… But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. He goes on to say though in the next verses that when the spirit of the Lord is the only one who will remove that blindness giving freedom.
I had a friend who grew up the son of a preacher, he heard many messages from his dad and went to church on a regular basis but sadly the word never seemed to stick in his heart and he didn’t know the love of Jesus.
I believe to be effective for Christ we must ask the Holy Spirt God to breath revelation through us and through his words to those in need and allow God to do the hard work of changing them. We could preach until we’re blue in the face but without the power of God we will accomplish little.

Sarah and Patrick’s Wedding at their Alma mater, Notre Dame University
Sarah and Patrick had an amazing, romantic wedding day at their Alma mater, Notre Dame University. The day started out sunny and warm, but as the photo session was wrapping up it got really interesting! The sky grew overcast, creating a romantic atmosphere around the Notre Dame campus. Just as the rain began to fall, we decided to film one more scene in the gentle warm rain, and the couple loved it!
Patrick and Sarah are a pleasure to be around and are known as a very compatible couple. We enjoyed spending time with them on their wedding day. From filming their preparation process to their candid session on campus and reading their love notes to one another. Everything they did seemed very authentic, and the joy they shared with friends, family, and each other was palpable. The wedding party celebrations and the support and love from their friends and family added to the comfortable and joyful atmosphere of the day.
The day was filled with many special moments and memories for them. From dancing in the rain to the epic grand entrance and dance party at their reception, it was a romantic wedding day to remember. Our best wishes to the newlyweds! Looking for a videographer for your Notre Dame wedding day? Contact us here!
A Joyous Wedding Occasion at White Oak Farm in Michigan City, IN!
I had the pleasure of attending Taylor and Milan’s beautiful wedding celebration at White Oak Farm in Michigan City, IN. The couple, along with their friends and family, made the day truly special with their warmth and genuine nature. Taylor’s father aptly described their wide network of supportive family and friends, which was evident throughout the celebration. Taylor and Milan are undeniably a beautiful couple, radiating joy and love in every moment.
Taylor and Milan’s love story, while unconventional, is both beautiful and humorous. Milan initially asked Taylor out, but to everyone’s surprise, he ended up standing her up! However, he made up for it by humbly asking her out again, and the rest is history. Taylor had a strong feeling from their first date that they were meant to be together, and she even started looking up wedding ideas on Pinterest. It’s always lovely when love stories have a touch of humor and unpredictability.
The venue, White Oak Farm, in Michigan City, proved to be a delightful setting for the wedding. The secluded, wooded countryside offered a picturesque backdrop for the celebration. With its modern construction, air-conditioned facilities, and ample parking, it ticked all the boxes for a convenient and comfortable event space.
One aspect of the venue that stood out was the separate getting-ready spaces for the bridal party and groomsmen. Having these spaces close by allowed for a seamless start and end to the day’s preparations. The outdoor ceremony space, set on a concrete pad near a pond and water feature, was also a well-thought-out feature. Its proximity to the main venue ensured that guests could easily transition between indoor and outdoor spaces without any inconvenience.
The successful execution of the wedding was attributed not only to the venue but also to the remarkable vendor team, including Leah Rife and Jellyfish DJ. Their contributions, along with the memorable events, contributed to making Taylor and Milan’s wedding a resounding success. Wishing the newlyweds all the happiness in the world!
