Wow, what fun it was to witness the beginning of Chrissy and Rick’s divine road trip as husband and wife! Their whole day was great. Chrissy, Rick and their wedding party had no trouble goofing around and posing for us and the lovely Sarah Sage Photo who kindly referenced us to them.
A couple of additional highlights. Their priest was not only hilarious but very insightful in his homily. He correlated marriage to a divine road trip. I’ve never heard this expression used but it really makes sense. In marriage much like a road trip you choose your partner and start your adventure. On a long road trip you better like your travel partner because you’re going to be spending a lot of time together. Also as in marriage choose someone who can help you get through. The divine aspect being marriage is orchestrated and ordained by God. Marriage is his idea. So there you have it, a divine road trip! Another highlight, though not as thought provoking. Rick and his groomsmen made a human pyramid! That’s something isn’t it? I’m glad to say the pyramid stood strong and no one was crushed. So there’s a good metaphor for Chrissy and Rick’s marriage!
The wedding ceremony was at the beautiful St. Monica Catholic church and the reception at the newly renovated and amazing Morris Park Country Club in South Bend, Indiana. In fact Chrissy and Rick were the very first couple to host a reception at Morris Park since it’s remodel so they got to do their turns on a brand new dance floor and we got a first look at all the new updates. And of course Elena and team did a great job serving a delicious dinner and hosting us all. Also check out the new space in the film we did for Lindsay and Stephen just a couple weeks later!
Our best to Chrissy & Rick in their divine road trip as husband and wife!
Wow, a picture perfect union station wedding for the perfect couple! We got to know Joe and Natasha through our friends Amanda and Greg. We filmed for Amanda & Greg several years ago and then for Greg’s sister and her husband. Come to find out Joe works with Greg, so it was great to make the circle of friends larger!
When I met Joe and Natasha a year before their wedding at a Starbucks in Castleton Square it didn’t take long to realize they have a beautiful chemistry. And just hearing about their wedding day plans I could tell it would amazing. Natasha is a wedding planner professionally. She wasn’t overbearing at all as you might think a planner/bride would be. She naturally had a clear vision for what her day and what it would look like. And Joe bless him wasn’t slack he was right there with her working hard on the planning! When they told me their wedding was at one of my all time favorite venues Union Station – I seriously couldn’t wait to secure the date for them.
the wedding day
We were present to film starting with the wedding party getting ready at the nearby Omni Hotel. Once ready Natasha & Joe had their first look then all the bridesmaids and groomsmen piled in the party bus. We took video downtown at monument circle and the nearby Memorial Park. Both were beautiful locations. We filmed beautiful candid’s and formals alongside Sami of Sami Renee Photography who was great as ever. After the first look and pictures we headed back to Union Station for the entire day. The ceremony was beautiful and included music by a 4 piece ensemble. Surrounded by friends and family Joe and Natasha said their vows, exchanged rings, kissed and we got their party started! Cocktails were in the adjoining room while the staff at Union Station flipped the ballroom to reveal a beautiful set up. After followed dinner, speeches, cake cutting, toasts, and of course dancing! It was an evening and event to remember!
With their wedding being in December it had romantic Christmas wedding vibe built in. The weather was nice with perfect light for cinematography. Add to that the storybook appeal of the historic Union Station. Did I mention we love Union Station? There aren’t many places like it. Beautiful candles and warm gold light inside gave the grand hall at Historic Union Station it’s signature guided age glow. All this to say Natasha and Joe had a very epic, very beautiful Indianapolis wedding day. Working with these two was an absolute joy! We wish them all best!

Caitlin and Jason contacted me about a year prior to their wedding and were very excited to book their date with me. They were also happy to tell me about their venue choice. They were among the first couple’s to book White Willow Farms in Arcadia, IN. They did so while it was still under construction so couldn’t see what it would actually look like but they had the vision and that’s all they needed! Needless to say the venue turned out amazing and was the perfect place to host their wedding. We loved the barn’s whitewashed walls and ceilings offset by the natural wood supporting beams. Not to mention ample getting ready space for the bride and groom and their party to hang out.
Due to Caitlin’s meticulous planning everything went beautifully! And we took advantage of their cream white umbrellas to do photos/video using them as props. It was a real joy working with Jason and Caitlin, they were so easygoing and nice to be around. I wish them many happy years together!
