the planning

Wow, a picture perfect union station wedding for the perfect couple! We got to know Joe and Natasha through our friends Amanda and Greg. We filmed for Amanda & Greg several years ago and then for Greg’s sister and her husband. Come to find out Joe works with Greg, so it was great to make the circle of friends larger!

When I met Joe and Natasha a year before their wedding at a Starbucks in Castleton Square it didn’t take long to realize they have a beautiful chemistry. And just hearing about their wedding day plans I could tell it would amazing. Natasha is a wedding planner professionally. She wasn’t overbearing at all as you might think a planner/bride would be. She naturally had a clear vision for what her day and what it would look like. And Joe bless him wasn’t slack he was right there with her working hard on the planning! When they told me their wedding was at one of my all time favorite venues Union Station – I seriously couldn’t wait to secure the date for them.

the wedding day

We were present to film starting with the wedding party getting ready at the nearby Omni Hotel. Once ready Natasha & Joe had their first look then all the bridesmaids and groomsmen piled in the party bus. We took video downtown at monument circle and the nearby Memorial Park. Both were beautiful locations. We filmed beautiful candid’s and formals alongside Sami of Sami Renee Photography who was great as ever. After the first look and pictures we headed back to Union Station for the entire day. The ceremony was beautiful and included music by a 4 piece ensemble. Surrounded by friends and family Joe and Natasha said their vows, exchanged rings, kissed and we got their party started! Cocktails were in the adjoining room while the staff at Union Station flipped the ballroom to reveal a beautiful set up. After followed dinner, speeches, cake cutting, toasts, and of course dancing! It was an evening and event to remember!

The location

With their wedding being in December it had romantic Christmas wedding vibe built in. The weather was nice with perfect light for cinematography. Add to that the storybook appeal of the historic Union Station. Did I mention we love Union Station? There aren’t many places like it. Beautiful candles and warm gold light inside gave the grand hall at Historic Union Station it’s signature guided age glow. All this to say Natasha and Joe had a very epic, very beautiful Indianapolis wedding day. Working with these two was an absolute joy! We wish them all best!
