It was a beautiful day for Carly and Nick’s wedding at Mavris Arts and Events Center in Indianapolis, IN. I’ve filmed at the The Mavris several times before but I’d never seen the space so fully used as I did for Carly and Nick’s wedding. In all there were 4 floor location changes throughout the day all within the venue. Ceremony was on the 1st floor. Cocktail hour on the third floor. The grand entrance and speeches on the 2nd followed by dinner with three unique serving stations. And last but maybe most incredible an epic baby gender reveal, and a raging dance party back on the 3rd floor!
Back up to the ceremony. It was hosted on the first floor which is normally the lobby. I wasn’t fully sure how that would work at first but it was absolutely great. There’s actually more space for the guests, an elegant stairwell for the bride’s entrance and plenty of what makes the Mavris shine, original wood and brick surfaces. Their ceremony was great. Carly and Nick said their vows and pledged devotion to one another from the heart. The minister joked it’s usually the bride who cries from being overcome with emotion but in their case it was Nick. It’s really cool to see a groom confident enough to share his feelings and so passionate about his bride. I’m happy we were there to capture it all for them.
All this came together smoothly for an awesome wedding at Mavris Arts and many amazing memories for the bride and groom, their family and friends. Check out their wedding day story!
