With all the elements of a show stopping wedding day Molly & Pete’s wedding was the toast of the town! There were a lot of moving parts with a giant, fun wedding party and several locations but Indy Gigz did an amazing job of coordinating the multi-site event and it went off without a glitch.
We started the day filming Molly and Pete and their bridesmaids and groomsmen getting ready at The Alexander Hotel (guys) and the Omni Hotel (ladies). Molly gifted Pete with an amazing Omega watch and he gave her a second diamond ring!
The wedding ceremony was beautiful and hosted at Indianapolis Central Library in the historic Simon Reading Room. Followed by their equally beautiful reception at the nearby Scottish Rite Cathedral.

And the award for best romantic kiss in a Wedding Feature Film goes to a beautiful couple who really lit up the screen! Well, I may be watching too many awards shows lately but in all seriousness Alex and Whitney did have a lot of fun and shared some awesome romantic moments in front of the cameras with us. My wife Julie and videographer Zarah were present to film the day which worked out very well as Whitney and Julie knew each other from college. Their fall day was awesome, full of color and light which made for beautiful imagery. Watching their movie really made me think of vintage 16mm film and the classic movies era so we also incorporated film filters for even more flavor which worked out nicely.
The wedding ceremony was at the Broadway United Methodist Church and the reception at the Indiana State Museum in downtown Indianapolis. Check out their wedding film trailer! Thank you Alex and Whitney for letting us be apart of your day!

Here’s a quick look at what we’re working on here in our Indianapolis studio. This scene is taken from the Healy/Melvin wedding this past fall at the Morris Center for Performing Arts in South Bend Indiana where the reception and ceremony were both held in the Palais Royal ballroom upstairs. Its always nice for photography purposes when the wedding is in a scenic location such as this and the couple is willing to meet each other before the wedding as they did. We were able to get some excellent footage outside the Morris and down the road at Howard Park along with Josephineyphotography Great looks guys!
