When we first met Katie and Kevin before their Lucas Estate wedding, we knew the wedding was going to be one to remember. They had requested multiple times that their wedding video be fun and reflect all the fun that they wanted to portray. I just have to tell you if you want your wedding video to look fun, just have a fun wedding and it will!
The wedding took place on the beautiful grounds of the Lucas Estate in Carmel, Indiana. The Lucas Estate in Carmel, Indiana, is a magnificent estate that offers impressive immersive experience for wedding guests. The stunning mansion is situated on a 33-acre property that includes a beautiful lake, a private golf course, and meticulously maintained gardens. The house is owned by Forrest Lucas owner of Lucas Oil. This estate is only open to several private events every year.

While outdoor weddings can be a hit and miss when it comes to weather, the team was prepared for rain or shine! We were all checking our phones for weather updates as the morning progressed and sure enough the storms struck right when guests began arriving for the day. While not ideal, the event design teams and the wedding planner quickly adjusted and the reception tent was beautifully transformed into a place more than suitable for a wonderful ceremony. Katie, Kevin, and the wedding party were awesome through it all, they just rolled with the punches and were truly easy to work with!

The day was filled with warm sentimental moments which are represented in their film. Katie’s motto throughout the planning process was to make it fun and keep it light. And I think you can tell from watching their film they did exactly that! Best of luck to the happy couple – after all – they say rain on your wedding day is extra lucky.
