Carli & Colin’s Outdoor Wedding at Family Home

I love outside weddings in the summer time. It just seems right for a nature lover like myself to spend a fine summer day outdoors filming with a wonderful couple like Colin and Carli. As Carli’s father mentioned in his speech, Carli was not to be deterred from having her wedding outside at her parents’ home in Brazil, Indiana. And her determination was rewarded from above with a beautiful day for her and Colin. Having a wedding at a parent’s home adds a personal touch to a wedding, giving guests and wedding vendors a glimpse into their lives and upbringing. What an amazing day and couple!

Becky & Jimmy – Wedding day film from Lake James in Angola, Ind.

Becky & Jimmy are a really cool couple and we enjoyed hanging out with them and helping tell their wedding story. When we first spoke they told me how they each had gown up spending the summers with family at Lake James in Angola Indiana actually not too far from my hometown in Northern Indiana. Anyhow they met at Miami University in Ohio and began spending summers together on Lake James and have such a history there they decided to make it their destination wedding site. Btw if you aren’t familiar with the laketown concept basically the way it works is you spend the summertime on the Lake then head back home for the remainder of the year. Sounds nice doesn’t it! I thought it was a pretty neat story and am always amazed how common interests and upbringings bring people together even if they did meet far from home. Check out their highlights film!

Marc and Kelsy, Wedding in Northern Indiana

A few weeks ago Vibe Productions left Indianapolis and headed up north to film my brother’s wedding. Talk about a great time – the wedding was at my parents home in the country near Syracuse, Ind. which is amazing at that time of the year. The ceremony was in a lawn alongside the long driveway set against my dad’s incredible plantings of flowering rhododendrons. The reception took place up near the house under a large, white tent. It was the perfect place for dinner and dancing to end the evening. I have found at home weddings to be great, always very original and very easygoing.

I want to show some video from the photo part of the day as it really captures the natural vibe we experienced with Marc and Kelsey outdoors. We added film effects and handheld camerawork to this intro to enhance the artistic quality.
