I think Abbi’s dad said it best at their reception. In marriage don’t find that someone you think you can live with but find the someone you can’t live without. Isn’t that a beautiful statement? I believe it’s definitely the case for Abbi and Dom. They go together like like salt and pepper. 🙂
Abbi and Dom were introduced to me through our mutual friend and their photographer Sarah Sage. She said I’ve got this great couple I’d like you to meet, I love me some Abbi and Dom! So we met over zoom chat and hit it off really well. They described a kind of carefree special event focused on their love for one another and for those people special to them. Naturally I said of course, that sounds great let’s do it!
We wound up having a beautiful day with Abbi and Dom. The weather cooperated and all went according to schedule. The day began at DoubleTree Hotel in South Bend, IN. The guys and girls were getting ready in nearly conjoining conference rooms there. We moved Abbi up to her hotel room to take advantage of the natural light for her dress shots. All the ladies and guys did a cheers together and the stage was set for their ceremony. Their ceremony was at the Basilica at Notre Dame. We did photos all over Notre Dame campus then circled back to the DoubleTree in the atrium for their reception. Abbi and Dom and their party where so chill and easy to film all day. They all did an amazing job. At sunset we went out and filmed them showcasing their newly married together glam in front of the reflective wall there. Let me tell you they killed it! Cheers to the new couple.
As all the event industry stars began to assemble on the red carpet the photographers excitedly began filming tables and the onlookers mingled at the cocktail area. We arrived with cameras in tow to begin recording the biggest spectacle of the year for the Indianapolis events industry! Lights, cameras, awards show!
While it wasn’t exactly like the Oscars, it was a truly wonderful event that we were so proud to attend as a member and as a sponsor for the ILEA Indiana <http://ileaindiana.starchapter.com/> Chapter. All the sponsors, officers and presenters did an amazing job putting on the event and worked tirelessly to get all the details just right. The Indianapolis Public Library <http://events.indypl.org/> Atrium was the perfect space for the evening and the dinner by Ritz Charles <http://www.ritzcharles.com/> was fantastic. I’d like to give a shout out to everyone who was involved and of course, a big congratulations to all of the winners! Here is a recap of the night.
How fantastic would it be to have your wedding on the campus of Notre Dame Indiana and in the winter?! Pretty cool I’d say! Carla and Tom chose The Basilica as the venue for their gorgeous December wedding this past year. The grounds of Notre dame were very inspiring with the elegant gothic architecture and cool light of winter adding to the romantic ambiance. I’d say from the magnificent Basilica to the grounds and grotto this campus is a bride’s and photographers dream come true. Tom and Carla along with Janet Hankins at Nd did an excellent job planning this gorgeous day. And of course a wedding wouldn’t be complete without a reception which was held at the beautiful South Bend Marriott Atrium. Take a look into Carla and Tom’s winter adventure with their Highlights from the day!
