Building Friendship

You make me want to say “I do!” We were blessed to witness James and Mary say their vows. And we were so happy to tell their wedding story. A story that began with many years of friendship and ultimately culminated in a wedding day. James and Mary were reminded by the best man in his speech how important friendship is. He said being a great friend to others before finding your spouse is the best practice for marriage. His belief like mine is that before couples say I do, they should work on the details of friendship. Having a successful marriage depends not so much on emotions but on building and nurturing sustainable relationship. I think James and Mary have this down pat. Just watching them it’s easy to see the joy they have being together. Over years of practice their friendship just flows effortlessly.

Say “I do!”

Our team began the day with James and Mary at the Basilica bright and early for the 9am ceremony time slot. Mary wore her mothers wedding dress in a touching tribute to her. It was early but the sun was out and the campus was exceptionally beautiful. Outside the Basilica doors Mary and her father had a touching first look before he walked her down the church isle. James and Mary said I do! in touching vows to one another. You don’t often find a couple as sincere as these two and their video shows it.. It was a beautiful ceremony followed by an intimate brunch style reception at the recently renovated Carnegie library events venue in Mishawaka, IN.
