Julia & John

Vibe Productions recently had the privilege to film the wedding of Julia Yoder and John Reynolds.  The wedding ceremony was at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church in Middleberry, IN.   There where two receptions to follow one at the church for a meal and the next at the Old Bag Factory in Goshen, a really cool place.  Everyone had a great time at both receptions.  Posted is video of the wedding party having fun before the ceremony.

Wedding Planners

Weddings are a great part of life and a significant milestone for many of us.  Although they may be nerve racking, stressful to plan and generally expensive many still opt for that special day to seal the deal.

I would challenge anyone planning a wedding to keep this goal in mind.  A happy and successful wedding, not necessarily a perfect wedding, although a well planned wedding does enhance the experience for everyone.  Being a visual person I often reference other work for inspiration and believe its my responsibility as an artist to do so.  In the same way I would encourage you to plan for your wedding by watching wedding video!  Video is a great reference for decor and planning the flow and activities of the day.  I would encourage you to see some of the video displayed here on my webpage, also we’d be happy to show you some examples of well planned weddings we’ve filmed.

High Definition Video

Here at Vibe Productions we are upgrading our systems for High Definition Editing and Blu Ray authoring.  We’ve produced HD already and are adept in handling it.  At this point we have three professional Sony HD camcorders and are upgrading to a more HD friendly editing system.  I’m posting a clip from the last wedding we did in HD.  This isn’t as clear on the web but the details are still pretty impressive.

Walk, Freeman

Vibe Production was at the wedding of darci Walk and Richard Freeman Jr. last weekend Sept. 26th.  The ceremony was at the River Valley Church in Mishawaka a really great spacious venue, the reception took place at  Windsor Park Conference Center on Edison Lakes Parkway Mishawaka.  A beautiful location with a pond…its very Victorian on the inside and the food is amazing.  Everyone was great and had a lot of fun for the camera as we shot along with Anya Albonetti Photography.  darci and her mother Sherri Walk did a great job getting things perfect down to the detail.  The reception was decorated with an LA lounge motif to represent the time darci had spent in LA as a dancer.  Sherri and her company, roomsbysherri designed and constructed special lounge furniture to complete the theme, I’d definitely recommend them for anyone looking to design a special reception and I’ll try and get some video up of the decor in the future.  The day was highlighted by a surprise first dance choreographed by the couple!  Here’s a clip from that.

Scottish Rite Cathedral Fair

Botswana video

In conjunction with the folks at the Mennonite Mission Network, MMN.  Vibe Productions has produced a video on a recent trip to Francistown Botswana by members of the network.  The video documents with photos and song the youth of the Bopaganang Basha Ba Semoya youth center and they’re daily struggles and faith in God.   The church has worked with this organization since 1987 and are helping them succeed in spreading the gospel and raising awareness about HIV.  Audio for the video is a highlight.  Ursula Green did a fabulous job with the voice over.

Recent Weddings

Erica Trojan & Tim Brumbaugh,  this was a great middle of August smokin hot day, Erica decked out the Vinyard Syracuse church with candles and greenery, to resemble a garden theme.  Very nice reception as well!  There was great food and plenty of good times and dancing to go around.

Last weekend we filmed the Grey Thompson wedding, it was in the St. Jons Episcopal Church Elkhart beautiful place and within walking distance to the riverwalk where we took pictures with Steve and Ashley of Pointphotodesign studios.  We got some really nice shots together as usual.  Reception took place at the Spohn Ballroom goshen, my fav location as our studio is in the building!

Liz & Mike

Elizabeth Enfield and Mike Henderson were married June 20, 09  outdoors on the grounds of  the  Ruthmere Mansion in Elkhart.   The wedding got a write up as part of the Elkhart project by msnbc.  I was asked to come early to the ceremony and got  some great shots with Summer and Steve of Vibe they do a wonderful work and great at having us do video along with them.  Here’s a montage of Mike and Liz from before the wedding.

If the bride and groom are willing to see each other before the wedding and do photos together its beneficial for the photography and video rather than trying to squeeze them all in between the ceremony and reception.

Amy Long & Christopher Kidney

Vibe Productions had the privilege of filming Amy and Chris Kidney’s wedding July, 18 in Niles MI.  This was an amazing wedding, beautifully planned from start to finish.  Amy and Chris decided to book us for the Gold Package two manned cameras for 9 hours plus to get all the action.  The ceremony was at The Morris Chapel in Niles, MI build by the owner awhile back for his daughters wedding.  its been refinished since and is a beautiful facility comfortable and not too formal.  Chris and Amy got some great photos and action shots before the ceremony in the surrounding grounds and historic schoolhouse on the property.

The reception was located at the  Carriage house in South Bend.  It began with drinks and string music in the garden then came indoors to an excellent dinner.  After dinner and some great toasts we went back out to the tent in the garden for some wild times and reception fun mc’d by Spotlight Entertainment.  It was  a magical evening with great events and lots of fun.  Great job Amy and Chris!
