Start the Day with Champagne Spray!

When I first arrived to the air bnb Shannon and her ladies were at Shannon was readying for the champagne spray and toast. I grabbed my camera jumped out of the car and yelled wait for me! I’m glad I was there to catch it as it was an awesome scene to begin the day with.

After cleaning any excess champagne off of their hands Shannon and the bridesmaids began getting ready as we went into filming the details! Shannon’s mother helped her into the dress and it was time for the big reveal. Katie from OMG photography did a great job positioning the bridesmaids at the bottom of the stairs while Shannon walked down to them. All the ladies swooned over seeing her in the dress the first time. It was definitely a highlight of the morning!

Meanwhile Christopher was getting prepped and hanging at the Morris Inn on campus with his guys. He graciously read the letter Shannon had wrote him on camera as Shannon had done with his letter earlier. I always encourage couples to write and read a note from one another if they’re comfortable doing so. It’s a great way to hear in their own words how they feel. Shannon and Christopher’s notes were very sweet.

After all the prep Christopher took one last stroll as a single man along with his guys across the quad over to the Basilica for the wedding mass. Shannon arrived shortly thereafter and was soon coming through those beautiful medieval double doors. All eyes fixed on her as she made her way down that long basilica isle to the man of her dreams.

The reception was on campus at Downes Ballroom overlooking the football stadium. There was speeches, dinner, dancing and a surprise video appearance from the former women’s basketball coach Muffet McGraw! For all family and friends who couldn’t join Shannon and Christopher asked us to provide live streaming of the reception. It was a really thoughtful way to include everyone they cared about and really showed their character. Our best to the newlyweds!
