What a lovely South Bend wedding for Molly and Jake! We were absolutely stunned by the beauty of this summer wedding at St. Joseph Catholic Church and The Gillespie Center, in South Bend, Indiana. Having a beautiful wedding day is a major win, but Molly & Jake as the bride and groom really made the day amazing by just being themselves and showcasing their love for one another! They are a beautiful match as you can tell and as we heard in speeches by their family and friends. Jake’s reaction during the first looks said it all as he was so excited to see Molly for the first time that day.
According to Molly’s mother. Because of the pandemic there were some serious questions about how many guests would even be able to attend the wedding. After downsizing the guest list several times the frustration no doubt was daunting. So when Molly’s mother asked if they wanted to cancel and move the wedding date Molly and Jake both said a resounding NO!! And as amazing as their day was we’re very glad they did. We’re very grateful to have recorded this beautiful wedding for two very persistent and courageous people. And we’re happy they can share their video with their friends and family who weren’t able to attend. Congratulations, Molly and Jake! We are so happy for you, and as the father of the groom said, “your persistence paid off.”
We hope you enjoy watching this wedding video! We were delighted to film Ken and Mami’s Indiana destination wedding reception at Morris Inn on the campus of Notre Dame. When you think of South Bend, IN you don’t typically think of destination wedding right? South Bend is actually a very popular destination for weddings. This isn’t because of the weather for sure or the city. It’s for one reason alone Notre Dame. Couples come from all over the US and abroad to be married here at that storied Basilica on campus. Many students come here from out of state. They meet on campus during their undergrad and either get married while still students or come back years later to be married there bringing family and friends from all over!
Ken and Mami were legally married in their home country of Japan. However they both had ties to the US and especially South Bend, IN. Ken’s grandfather had immigrated to South Bend, Indiana many years ago and started their family business there which has grown to a large Japanese corporation Nachi America. He became part of the Notre Dame community and the family has enjoyed a special relationship with the university since. So this was a beautiful way for them to honor this heritage. Not only that but Ken attended ND and it holds a special place in his heart.
Mami was the sweetest bride and her family and friends were very endearing. Many came all the way from Tokyo to celebrate with Ken and Mami. Others came from Pennsylvania where Ken had worked for the Corning glass company. they wanted to have a special event at Notre Dame to honor their many friends and associates from the US.
The university venue nd staff provided a smaller size banquet room at Morris Inn as the party didn’t exceed 100. It was a really nice intimate evening with wine, speeches, dancing and vow renewals. Check out our short film of their reception!
Check out this wedding day bliss along the canal walk at Indiana State Museum! What amazing chemistry Brittany and Phil shared. The day started with the hustle and bustle of ladies getting ready and culminated with a sweet first look between Britney and her dad. This was soon followed by a fun first look with Brittany and her bridesmaids. We got some BA photos with the ladies at Memorial Park downtown and hustled up to get to the ceremony at The Indiana Statehouse. We were just in time to film guests arriving and the amazing setup there. After the ceremony guest made their way to the the Indiana State Museum for the reception beginning with cocktails out on the canal walk. It’s always so neat to be part of the culture of Indianapolis and film all activity outside on the canal. People doing activity in the background makes a great ambiance for drinks and conversation! Check out a few other amazing events we’ve filmed along the canal walk! All in all the reception was a huge success with amazing speeches, great dances and food. What a beautiful day and Wedding to celebrate Britney and Phil!
