Laura and Zach’s great wedding day love story led them through twists and turns frustrations and breakthroughs in their planning process. All to a beautiful wedding day surrounded by family and friends. Hats off to this couple they had to put off being married for nearly a year from their original wedding date. But thank goodness they stuck with it! Their day was incredible. From first meeting the ladies and gentlemen on the wedding day the excitement was palpable. And that excitement and fun continued throughout.
We managed to get one of the most gorgeous days of the year for them. It was the perfect Michigan day, clear and warm in the afternoon with and bit of crisp cool lake air come evening. The ceremony and reception were on site at Morris Estate in Niles, MI. A venue we’ve come to know and love over the years.
The entire wedding was a perfect fit for the bride and groom. Their patience and persistence paid off big with a truly great wedding day love story. Cheers to them!!
Several years ago I filmed for Anne’s sister Leigh and her husband Nate on their wedding day and what an epic day it was. Needless to say I was thrilled when Anne’s mother requested our services again for Anne and Matthew’s wedding. They’re such an amazing, genuine and good looking couple! As their dad said for both sisters he knows how to build beautiful daughters who in turn bring amazing son-in-law’s into the family!
We started the day with the ladies getting ready at the bride’s family home while the guys got prepped at the ceremony location – First Presbyterian Church in Niles, MI. The reception was hosted by VenueND at Downes Ballroom in Notre Dame Stadium.
Our crew Zarah and Sam did an awesome job filming. I’m actually jealous they got to have all the fun shooting as I was filming a previous engagement but I’m proud to have taken part as editor in chief! Thanks again Anne and Matthew, we hope you enjoy your Wedding Film as much as we did making it. Now check out their Trailer and Feature Film!
Where to start? Leigh & Nathan’s wedding was beautiful, fun and entertaining! Nate and his guys were an awesome crew with a team focus and a wedding day game plan drawn up on a blackboard before the ceremony. Leigh and her girls may have been slightly more subdued but not because of a lack of caffeine as they kicked off their morning with a Starbucks run and an excellent hair and make up session at Leigh’s grandparents home. Everyone was great to work with and I’d like to extend a special thanks to Katie and Chris of Katie Whitcomb Photographers and Richelle from MerryMeEvents for making things go seamlessly. And of course to Leigh and Nathan for having us. Congrats on your marriage!
This past weekend I left Indianapolis and went to film a band playing in Niles, MI. It was a reunion concert for a band who hadn’t played together in a while and they pulled off a pretty good set. I filmed with a one camera set up and captured good sound with just a shotgun microphone. See what you think!
