Megan and Bob were married in South Bend Indiana at the historic St. Joseph Church by Rev. Matt Fase. They hosted their wedding reception just down the road at the lovely Palais Royale Ballroom, also in South Bend. Both locations were really perfect for their day. With close proximity to the one another and the city of South Bend it made commuting a snap. We were also in walking distance to the St. Joseph River and had some great views there for photos. The Palais is in my opinion one of the most elegant ballrooms in the city and didn’t fail to impress for Megan and Bob. With beautiful white, yellow and gold tones, pin lighting, and floral arrangements it looked amazing. I’ve had a wonderful history filming at the Palais in past years. Check out some of our other favorite Palais wedding couples here!
The Wedding Day
We began the day getting ready in Megan’s beautiful family home. Lots of natural light for details and makeup with the talented Stephanie Jean were key. Following were the couples heartfelt vows at the church. Speeches by maid of honor and best man and Megan’s fathers hilarious speech. He candidly portrayed the similarities he and Bob shared which helped them get along well. I actually overheard him joke with Bob as he handed off Megan that he would touch his nose during the ceremony if Bob’s team scored, lol.
After all this they packed the dance floor with family and friends for their rocking wedding reception. This lovely evening was made possible by the efforts of many including: event planning by the bride! Room lighting by Pro-Show, catering & coordinating for the reception was Navarre catering, floral arrangements by Poppies By Polly, photography by Kirsten Wray. Cinematography by Vibe Video Productions. Entertainment was provided by the amazing and energizing My Yellow Rickshaw Band
Haley’s brother said in his speech it was always his sister’s dream growing up to have tons of that wedding sparkle! I think it’s safe to say Haley and Gary had plenty of sparkle in their wedding day. But sparkle isn’t just a fun way to dress or decorate, it’s an attitude. It’s an outlook on life. Gary and Haley are a beautiful couple and together they have a wonderful positive energy. Seriously try and watch their film without a smile!
The day began at The Doubletree in South Bend. We began filming the ladies and guys prepping. After this Gary and Haley exchanged notes and gifts to one another. They did a beautiful job expressing themselves and reading on camera. I always encourage our couples to read a note aloud if they write one to make their film more personal. So after all the prep of hair, makeup and dress. Haley gave her bridesmaids and father a first look at her in the dress. She also shared a gift of a fine wedding dress drawing with her mother in a very special moments.
Haley and Gary chose to host their ceremony at the Notre Dame Basilica. This was fitting as they met and began dating during their time at Notre Dame University. Their story came full circle 7 years later with their wedding on campus. It was a lovely event and came just days after the mask restrictions were lifted on guests indoors and outside so cheers to that!
The reception was at Palais Royale also in South Bend. The design and decor by Merry Me Events was top notch. Just check out all lovely in the table settings! I think Haley did her younger self proud and it was beautiful and sparkling event indeed.
Our best to the newlyweds! May you continue to sparkle together in the light of one another and of heaven. Check out their wedding film!
Wow, a picture perfect union station wedding for the perfect couple! We got to know Joe and Natasha through our friends Amanda and Greg. We filmed for Amanda & Greg several years ago and then for Greg’s sister and her husband. Come to find out Joe works with Greg, so it was great to make the circle of friends larger!
When I met Joe and Natasha a year before their wedding at a Starbucks in Castleton Square it didn’t take long to realize they have a beautiful chemistry. And just hearing about their wedding day plans I could tell it would amazing. Natasha is a wedding planner professionally. She wasn’t overbearing at all as you might think a planner/bride would be. She naturally had a clear vision for what her day and what it would look like. And Joe bless him wasn’t slack he was right there with her working hard on the planning! When they told me their wedding was at one of my all time favorite venues Union Station – I seriously couldn’t wait to secure the date for them.
the wedding day
We were present to film starting with the wedding party getting ready at the nearby Omni Hotel. Once ready Natasha & Joe had their first look then all the bridesmaids and groomsmen piled in the party bus. We took video downtown at monument circle and the nearby Memorial Park. Both were beautiful locations. We filmed beautiful candid’s and formals alongside Sami of Sami Renee Photography who was great as ever. After the first look and pictures we headed back to Union Station for the entire day. The ceremony was beautiful and included music by a 4 piece ensemble. Surrounded by friends and family Joe and Natasha said their vows, exchanged rings, kissed and we got their party started! Cocktails were in the adjoining room while the staff at Union Station flipped the ballroom to reveal a beautiful set up. After followed dinner, speeches, cake cutting, toasts, and of course dancing! It was an evening and event to remember!
With their wedding being in December it had romantic Christmas wedding vibe built in. The weather was nice with perfect light for cinematography. Add to that the storybook appeal of the historic Union Station. Did I mention we love Union Station? There aren’t many places like it. Beautiful candles and warm gold light inside gave the grand hall at Historic Union Station it’s signature guided age glow. All this to say Natasha and Joe had a very epic, very beautiful Indianapolis wedding day. Working with these two was an absolute joy! We wish them all best!

Check out this wedding day bliss along the canal walk at Indiana State Museum! What amazing chemistry Brittany and Phil shared. The day started with the hustle and bustle of ladies getting ready and culminated with a sweet first look between Britney and her dad. This was soon followed by a fun first look with Brittany and her bridesmaids. We got some BA photos with the ladies at Memorial Park downtown and hustled up to get to the ceremony at The Indiana Statehouse. We were just in time to film guests arriving and the amazing setup there. After the ceremony guest made their way to the the Indiana State Museum for the reception beginning with cocktails out on the canal walk. It’s always so neat to be part of the culture of Indianapolis and film all activity outside on the canal. People doing activity in the background makes a great ambiance for drinks and conversation! Check out a few other amazing events we’ve filmed along the canal walk! All in all the reception was a huge success with amazing speeches, great dances and food. What a beautiful day and Wedding to celebrate Britney and Phil!
