Emily and Evan’s wedding was hosted in Elkhart, Indiana otherwise referred to as Heart City. Emily and Evan were fun, easygoing and very in love with one another. It’s also easy to tell they are both very loved by their many friends and family who joined them on their day.
Our time started with Emily and her ladies at the Blown Away hair and makeup salon in South Bend, Indiana. I can never overstate the importance of getting ready time for our films and we were fortunate to have plenty of that thanks to Emily’s mother who was so helpful with the wedding plans. It’s true what they say you know mother knows best! There was a great vibe that morning as the ladies got prepped and pretty. Those moments are important as getting ready is when the wedding experience really starts to kick in for the bride. She can physically see her transformation beginning and the excitement becomes palpable. I’ve often filmed brides prepping with just a friend or two but it’s especially fun when a bride’s full squad is there to support her! In addition to being fun it helps ease tension by bringing normalcy to the days events..
Evan at the same time was getting ready and hanging with his groomsmen while waiting for the days events to begin. With the guys it’s always less about appearance and more about jokes and camaraderie. The camaraderie was awesome and seemed to keep Evan chill. He was relaxed and enjoying his last moments of singleness, giving gifts to his groomsmen, writing a letter to Emily and suiting up for the day. Some of his closest confidants were there for him as they had been through the years. As a bride and groom you want those you trust and are comfortable with there at this crucial point of the day.
Our best to the new Mr and Mrs! May you have many years of wedded success together.
With all the elements of a show stopping wedding day Molly & Pete’s wedding was the toast of the town! There were a lot of moving parts with a giant, fun wedding party and several locations but Indy Gigz did an amazing job of coordinating the multi-site event and it went off without a glitch.
We started the day filming Molly and Pete and their bridesmaids and groomsmen getting ready at The Alexander Hotel (guys) and the Omni Hotel (ladies). Molly gifted Pete with an amazing Omega watch and he gave her a second diamond ring!
Ana and Drew’s romantic fall wedding took place at the Basilica and the Dahnke Ballroom in Notre Dame, Ind. Every elegant detail came together beautifully for a perfect Wedding weekend. Their classic Notre Dame wedding was full of love and care which mirrors the way Ana and Drew treat one another with so much love and respect.
Emily and Mark had an absolutely beautiful wedding day at The Basilica of the Sacred Heart and the Morris Inn, two of our favorite wedding venues. I thought the speech by Emily’s father shared at the reception was especially moving. He said “Emily has always been a perfectionist. This is evident in all aspects of her life from her gymnastics to even packing a suitcase.. so it’s no surprise to me she picked Mark.” What a great compliment to them both! It was a joy sharing the day with Mark and Emily, laughing with them and seeing them enjoy the whole event. Check out their feature film!
