Laura and Zach’s great wedding day love story led them through twists and turns frustrations and breakthroughs in their planning process. All to a beautiful wedding day surrounded by family and friends. Hats off to this couple they had to put off being married for nearly a year from their original wedding date. But thank goodness they stuck with it! Their day was incredible. From first meeting the ladies and gentlemen on the wedding day the excitement was palpable. And that excitement and fun continued throughout.
We managed to get one of the most gorgeous days of the year for them. It was the perfect Michigan day, clear and warm in the afternoon with and bit of crisp cool lake air come evening. The ceremony and reception were on site at Morris Estate in Niles, MI. A venue we’ve come to know and love over the years.
The entire wedding was a perfect fit for the bride and groom. Their patience and persistence paid off big with a truly great wedding day love story. Cheers to them!!
What’s a Lafayette love story? Well let me tell you here’s a few Lafayette weddings we’ve filmed over the years. Most recently we had the privilege to film Shannon and Adam’s Lafayette wedding. I always love working in Lafayette, it just seems to have a special vibe. Shannon first contacted me during the middle of the lockdown. She and her then fiancé Adam were gracious and took plenty of time to chat and get to know our service. I could tell right away they were a great team! Two very kind and thoughtful people.
We talked over the challenges of doing life and planning a wedding during a lockdown. I learned how they met at their work engineering for a company in Lafayette, Indiana. It’s really neat how God’s hand in providence brought them together from far apart. Adam coming from Texas and Shannon from her studies abroad in Germany. They both landed in Lafayette, Indiana a great middle of the road place to settle down. And perfect to start a life together.
Long story short Shannon and Adam had been planning their wedding for awhile and were a bit ruffled by the pandemic. They were not deterred though from their plans to be married! They kept their date but did need to scale back. This is where we the videographers came into the picture. To tell their story for those who couldn’t attend.
I loved Shannon and Adam’s attitude and positivity. Rather than being beat down about the circumstances they wanted to make the best of it, enjoy the day and celebrate getting married. It’s that attitude that made their day a great success and I know will serve them well in their married life together. Our best to Adam and Shannon, may all your dreams come true and thanks for including us in your Lafayette love story. Many happy years together!

True to tradition Kristin and Drew’s wedding party sang “Going to the chapel..” I believe the tradition is everyone who sings it at a family wedding gets married eventually. I actually filmed a wedding for a member of Kristin and Drew’s extended family the year before and they sang the song at her wedding as well. It’s pretty neat to have a longstanding goofy/fun tradition like that.
What a great couple and family, we had a blast filming for them.
This is a promotional video we created for Harvest Community Church in Goshen, IN. The concept was to show the mission and values of the church in a 90 second piece. It was challenging getting all the shots we needed during services and took a few weeks of shoots but with help from the people at Zion and a great voice over effort by a member of the church we have a very compelling piece that I believe promotes the church well.
