Daddy’s Girl 🤗
Katie’s dad said he never thought anyone would be good enough for his little girl. This was his thought process about first meeting her then boyfriend Brett. And so he didn’t expect to like Brett! It’s hard for us girl dad’s to imagine who will take our daughters hand someday. I mean that’s a huge thing. Handing over the responsibility of someone so dear to another person. Someone you must trust will look after her like you do. Will treat her with the love and respect she deserves. It’s just a bit hard to picture that day even though as dad’s we know that it’s good and the day is coming. I pray for the right one for my little girl.
Perhaps these are some of the hesitations Katie’s dad was feeling when meeting Brett for the first time. He described Katie as kind, compassionate, talented and intelligent. It’s obvious Katie has always been the apple of his eye and he wasn’t about to accept just any guy for her. He would have to be a good one. And thankfully Katie found a great guy in Brett. Some of the words used to describe him were genuine, kind, considerate, intelligent, a great sense of humor and optimistic. So, fortunately Brett made a good impression and as they say the rest was history!
The Wedding!
Katie and Brett both attended Notre Dame where they met and fell in love their freshman year. They wanted to have their wedding on campus where they shared many special memories. They had a beautiful wedding with colors Slate blue, white and greenery. Their day began at the Morris Inn on campus. The ceremony was at the Basilica of the sacred heart and the reception at Danke Ballroom in the Stadium. All hosted by the team at Experience ND.
