Chris & Allyson :: Union Station Wedding

As soon as I met Chris and Allyson I could tell they were very genuinely in love and would be a pleasure to film for. A big thanks to Jennifer Driscoll Photography for bringing me onboard to film this event. And a really big thanks to Chris and Allyson for making this such a special day and helping us feel very welcome at their wedding.

Alyssa & Eric :: A white winter wedding

Of course every season adds special character to a wedding and I especially enjoy the soft light of late fall and winter weddings. Luckily the weather was mild for Alyssa & Eric’s day but being November and in Northern Indiana there was certainly a chill in the air so when I heard the song Keep Warm by Ingrid Michaelson I thought – perfect.

We had a great time getting shots of the couple with Jeanne from Vibe Photography at several awesome locations around the Blue Heron golf course.

SLR camera stabilization

Just picked up a new Zacuto Striker recently and can’t wait to shoot a project with it. I wasn’t sure what to expect as I’d never used one but it’s incredibly sturdy and light. Also all the adjustments made it a quick fit to my shoulder. I know I’ll enjoy the added camera stability it offers and I’m sick and tired of taking a tripod into awkward areas! It’s a little expensive I guess but you have to pay for quality.

Libby & Joseph :: Highlights Film from St. Joe Michigan Wedding

From homemade wine in the groom’s suite and tying up the final bow on Libby’s dress, to walking on the sunny but chilly shore of Lake Michigan Libby and Joseph had a fantastic day to remember. Their destination wedding in St. Joseph, MI couldn’t have been any better conceived and matched the couple’s character and tastes perfectly. In my opinion Michigan in the fall has a certain mystique and beauty very unique to itself which we were happy to take advantage of with them and capture on film.

Kylie & Sam :: Wedding in Greenwood Indiana

Kylie and Sam were a very special couple to work with and of course we always enjoy working with their planners Deborah and crew of A touch of Elegance as they make the day go like clockwork.

This video is a departure from our past films as its one of our first Short Features or 15 minute edits whichever you want to call it. The idea isn’t new but has gained a lot of attention from brides and wedding videographers in recent years. When asked about the idea Kylie and Sam said sure do it so we did and can’t be happier with the results!

David & Diana :: A Wedding Day in Terre Haute

What a great love story these two have! Hearing their heartfealt vows and the words that others spoke about them gave us a glimpse at their love story and the great events such as Diana moving thousands of miles from home to the US that helped bring them together.

To symbolize their two backgrounds coming together David wore a traditional Barong to represent Diana’s Filipino heritage and strapped a tartan over it to symbolize his own Scottish heritage. They also did a traditional pinning of the tartan on Diana during the ceremony to symbolize her joining Davids family.

The ceremony was at the White Chapel on the campus of David’s alma mater Rose Hulman and the reception was nearby at The Landing at Fort Harrison also in Terre Haute, IN. Many congrats to the couple, enjoy this highlights from the day!

Alex & Whitney :: An Indianapolis Wedding Film

And the award for best romantic kiss in a Wedding Feature Film goes to a beautiful couple who really lit up the screen! Well, I may be watching too many awards shows lately but in all seriousness Alex and Whitney did have a lot of fun and shared some awesome romantic moments in front of the cameras with us. My wife Julie and videographer Zarah were present to film the day which worked out very well as Whitney and Julie knew each other from college. Their fall day was awesome, full of color and light which made for beautiful imagery. Watching their movie really made me think of vintage 16mm film and the classic movies era so we also incorporated film filters for even more flavor which worked out nicely.
The wedding ceremony was at the Broadway United Methodist Church and the reception at the Indiana State Museum in downtown Indianapolis. Check out their wedding film trailer! Thank you Alex and Whitney for letting us be apart of your day!

Indianapolis Wedding :: Madison & Greg’s Wedding Trailer

Madison and Greg are an amazing couple who are head over heals for each other which you can see in this short film. They had a beautiful wedding beginning at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Carmel, Ind. and wound up at the very cool Rathskeller Athenaeum Ballroom in downtown Indianapolis. Music is important to the couple so they had not one but two excellent bands at their reception. Greg being a musician got to sing a few notes along with the bands and serenade his wife which were highlights worthy moments! Enjoy this short film.

Matt + Meg {Lafayette, Indiana Wedding}
